Shwetangana Santram is an educator with over 20 years of experience working with multiple stakeholders across the Education sector. She has been advising on, and influencing policy, school curriculum design and content and is also deeply involved in training future educators.

She is currently the Principal of Wilsonia Scholars’ Home in Moradabad, a school that she founded in 2008. It is now amongst the leading senior secondary schools in the city with over 600 students. Apart from her day to day administrative and leadership duties as the head of the institute, Shwetangana is passionate about Education counselling and Life skills training for students, as well as mentoring teachers and future educators. She is also a Certified Global Career Counselor from University of California in LA, USA (UCLA) and has been guiding students to make decisions for their higher education and career paths.

She is a keen advocate of well-rounded and value-based education that supports young students to develop, not just academically, but as members of a global society. She believes that students need to develop not just their mental and literary skills but go beyond the text to learn ‘life skills’ and also excel in arts, sports and music.

Shwetangana is a regular guest speaker at the city’s top schools and colleges. She also curates and conducts workshops to train other teachers in themes like Classroom Management, Creative Lesson Planning and other relevant topics. She is a Resource Person for Capacity Building programs for CBSE.  She is currently developing a series of Vlogs and articles on her social media platforms to reach out to a wider audience and aspiring educators.
